Cellular & Molecular Biology Lab🧬Here’s a glimpse of a recent lab with Dr. Karine Tornieri! The experiment involved isolating DNA from students’ cheek cells, amplifying the DNA, and then determining whether or not members of the class have the “bitter tasting” gene.

Q&A with Chef Charles of Brenau Dining🥘🍕
We took a walk around the Hopkins Dining Hall with Chef Charles Friends, the chef manager for Brenau Dining, which is run by Aramark. He has been cooking and planning meals at Brenau since 2021!
Did you know that Chef Charles participated in this year’s Aramark Culinary Excellence regional competition?! This Thursday during lunchtime in the dining hall, he plans to serve the meal he cooked in the competition. The dish includes chicken roulade with buttery mashed potatoes, topped with an herb butter cream sauce, and surrounded with bruschetta and slaw. Make sure to pop into the dining hall to try this amazing meal on Thursday!!
