Brenau University has entered an enrollment agreement with Riverside Preparatory Academy in Gainesville, Georgia, that will grant admission to five qualified Riverside graduates in each first year class every year for the next five years.
The agreement is an expansion of the partnership between Brenau and Riverside, which has included previous collaborations on academics and sharing spaces for the arts, athletics and sciences.
“There are different ways this agreement could launch multiple relationships between our two institutions, both curricular and co-curricular,” Brenau President David Barnett, Ph.D., said. “Students from Riverside could participate in our fine arts programs as well as our academic programs.”
Barnett and Riverside President Stanley C. “Staś” Preczewcki, Ph.D., COL (R), inked the agreement at a ceremony on Brenau’s campus Thursday, Feb. 8.
Preczewcki is encouraging Riverside students to pursue their bachelor’s degree locally and be strategic about their educational pursuits.

“Riverside Prep is pleased to enter into this agreement with Brenau University. The benefits it offers will significantly enhance the range of quality opportunities available to our cadets. We appreciate this partnership with the university and all that it does in our local community and beyond,” Preczewcki said.
Riverside is a private, boarding preparatory school for young men in grades sixth through 12. Previously known as Riverside Military Academy, Riverside still offers a military academy and uses a military model of education, but has recently turned their focus toward college prep.
Admission to Brenau will be extended to the five qualified candidates in the learning platform of choice: residential, commuter or online at any of Brenau’s campuses. Prospective students will still need to apply, but application fees will be waived for Riverside students.
The first five Riverside graduates will be admitted in fall 2024.
