
Brenau University presents the Ivester Endowed Speaker, Erik Qualman, a No. 1 best-selling author and renowned keynote speaker this spring at Hosch Theatre.
He will speak about The Impact of AI on Higher Education from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, in the Hosch Theatre in the John S. Burd Center for Performing Arts. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

His insights related to artificial intelligence and its impact on higher education are timely,” Jim Eck, Ph.D., provost and vice president of academic success said. “Qualman will share insights on AI’s impact on higher education and the future of leadership in a digital world. He brings a great deal of passion, expertise, and energy to his presentations; you will not want to miss it.”
Qualman has spoken in 55 countries and reached 50 million people. His Socialnomics work has been featured by various media and used by the National Guard and NASA. His book Digital Leader propelled him to be voted the Second Most Likeable Author in the World behind the Harry Potter series. What Happens in Vegas Stays on YouTube helped Qualman be listed by Forbes and Fortune as a Top 100 Digital Influencer. His business books are used in more than 200 universities and he has received an honorary doctorate for his groundbreaking work. His latest book, The Focus Project, is a guide to pursuing less in order to achieve more. Qualman was formerly a sitting professor at Harvard and MIT’s edX labs.
