Bill Haney, Ph.D.

I arrived at Brenau University in August 2000 when I was named the Business Department chair. After about a year I was appointed to the dean of the College of Business and Communication, where I served in that position for seven years. In 2008 I stepped down as dean and started teaching full-time in the areas of organizational behavior, critical and creative thinking, strategic thinking and innovation, business communication, and leadership.

I am currently the program director for the Master of Science Program in Organizational Leadership. I have earned the following degrees:

• Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) – Bryan College
• Master of Science (Counseling and Human Systems) – Florida State University
• Master of Business Administration – Golden Gate University
• Doctor of Philosophy (Higher Education/Business Administration) – Florida State University
• Graduate Certificate (Critical and Creative Thinking) – University of Massachusetts Boston

I am also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I enjoy traveling and have been to most of the states in the U.S. I have also been to many countries in Europe, the Caribbean, and Central America. And, my dog’s name is Phineas!
