Dr. Verlonda Jackson is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Brenau University, specializing in developmental psychology, trauma, social cognition, intergroup processes, emotion, and self and social identity. With a passion for understanding human behavior and how individuals navigate social contexts, Dr. Jackson conducts research on the complexities of identity and the impact of trauma on development. In addition to teaching, Dr. Jackson serves as the Diversity Coordinator for the PsyD program, working to ensure an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.

As a five-time national best-selling author and public speaker, Dr. Jackson has shared insights on psychology and personal development with audiences across the country. Their work integrates research findings with real-world applications, fostering a deeper understanding of human experience. Dr. Jackson resides in Buford, GA, with her husband and children, balancing a fulfilling academic career with family life.
