This weekend, we celebrate a momentous occasion in the history of Brenau University and in the lives of more than 300 graduates – our 145th commencement.
On Friday, we will honor the Class of 2024 from The Women’s College as we have done for generations of young women since our founding in 1878. On Saturday, we will celebrate undergraduates earning degrees in our four academic colleges and those earning graduate degrees in the Sidney O. Smith Jr. Graduate School.
As president, I am honored to be part of this life-changing moment. I look forward to shaking the hand of every graduate and offering them my personal congratulations. I also offer my congratulations to those graduates who could not attend the ceremonies.
Earning a degree is a great personal achievement for our students, but it also represents the successful fulfillment of the mission of Brenau to prepare students for a lifetime of intellectual accomplishment and personal fulfillment.
Tens of thousands of graduates have passed through our doors, and gone on to make a difference in their communities. That is what I hope for each of Brenau’s 2024 graduates and why I join their families, friends and faculty in celebrating their achievement.
Congratulations to our graduates, and thank you to the faculty and staff for your hard work in helping our students achieve this milestone.
