It’s nearly mid-April, and that means we’re nearing the end of the semester and the traditional events that conclude our academic year, including Alumni Reunion Weekend, Honors Convocation and Finals Week.
The celebration of Brenau’s 145th birthday makes Alumni Reunion Weekend, which is happening April 11-13, even more special. It’s always a great time to welcome back hundreds of alumni to reconnect with their classmates and meet current students.
The weekend includes events that show off the talents of our students like the Innovation, Inquiry & Creativity Symposium, Brenau Collaborative and performing arts events. We also celebrate the graduating class with traditional events like Class Day and May Court that our alumni remember from their time at Brenau.
Our commencement ceremonies are only a few weeks away, which means students and faculty are completing final projects and gearing up for finals week. You’ve almost made it and I know that we will all finish the semester strong – together.
In other exciting news, we celebrated the recent naming of the Ernest Ledford Grindle Athletics Department. This celebration was an opportunity to thank the Melvin Douglas and Victoria Kay Ivester Foundation for their generous and ongoing support of Brenau.
