As a mass communication student, you’ll choose a concentration in either digital technology or public relations/journalism, equipping yourself with a specific set of skills that you can directly transfer into your future career. Your mass communication professors, who have years of experience in the field, will teach you how to work with industry-grade broadcasting and radio equipment, so you can hit the ground running after graduation.
Student opportunities
Take practicums in audio production and radio; video production; public relations; and newspaper
Complete a professional practice practicum, where you can get certified in various industry platforms and develop a resume, portfolio and more
Work with Brenau’s Channel 95 cable TV, 89.1 WBCX Gainesville, and the student-run newspaper, The Alchemist, starting in your freshman year
Pursue a concentration in digital technology or public relations/journalism
